Ms. Zhang earned her LL.M in International Law from Shanghai Maritime University. Before joining Huang & Huang in 2017, she gained three years of experience at a major state-owned port group, handling commercial and legal matters related to port operations, shipping, and logistics. She was promoted to Partner at the firm in 2022. Shipping (cargo claims, collision/allision, oil pollution damage, marine insurance, offshore projects), International Trade, Dispute Resolution, Aviation, Logistics, Insurance, Finance, Corporate & Commercial Contracts

Currently, Ms. Zhang serves as Deputy Director of the Foreign-related Affairs Committee at the Guangzhou Mediation Association. Recognized for her expertise, she is among the first lawyers admitted to Guangzhou’s “Leading Lawyers in Foreign-related Matters” Talent Pool and Guangdong Province’s “Rising Stars in Foreign-related Matters” Talent Pool. She has been named among the 2024 ALB China Top 15 Rising Lawyers in South China, the first “Top 10 Young Lawyers” in Haizhu, Guangzhou, and honored as "Professional Star" under Guangzhou Lawyers Association's "Young Lawyers Shining Stars" Program. Previously, Ms. Zhang served as Secretary-General of the 10th Maritime and Aviation Law Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association.

Ms. Zhang was awarded Guangzhou Lawyers Association’s “Achievement Award 2020” for her outstanding performance in a leasing contract dispute involving thousands of containers. The  subrogated claim for cargo contamination where Ms. Zhang successfully represented the carrier was selected among the "Top 10 Typical Cases of the Year 2021" by Guangzhou Maritime Court. She successfully represented a Cyprus-flagged vessel owner in a maritime evidence preservation case which was awarded the "Achievement Award 2021" by Guangzhou Lawyers Association; assisted Chinese government authorities in handling multinational maritime personal injury claims involving an ocean-going fishing vessel sunk in the Indian Ocean and awarded the "Social Stability Maintenance Award 2023 " by Guangzhou Lawyers Association; successfully represented a leading Chinese insurer in a double insurance claim which was featured the Supreme People’s Court Gazette [2023] Issue 9 and Informa UK's Chinese Maritime and Commercial Law Report [2023] Vol 4., awarded “Deals of the Year 2023” by China Business Law Journal and “Exemplary Case” by LegalOne. Ms. Zhang was honored with Guangzhou Lawyers Association’s “Achievement Award 2023” for her successful representation in this case.

1. Successfully represented the claimant in PICC Zhongshan Branch v CPIC Dongguan Branch , which was featured in The Supreme People’s Court Gazette [2023] Issue 9 and Informa UK's Chinese Maritime and Commercial Law Report [2023] Vol 4, awarded “Deals of the Year 2023” by China Business Law Journal and “Exemplary Case” by LegalOne and “Achievement Award 2023”by Guangzhou Lawyers Association (Matter value: RMB 21.6 Million).
2. Successfully assisted Chinese government authorities in handling personal injury and fatality claims arising from the capsizing of an ocean-going fishing vessel in the Indian Ocean, involving a multi-national crew. The case received special instructions from the President and Premier of China and was extensively covered by CCTV and numerous domestic and international media outlets, attracting significant attention worldwide. (Matter value: over RMB 65 million)
3. Successfully represented a major port group in Guangdong Province in a leasing contract dispute involving thousands of containers. The case was recognized as a “Deal of the Year 2021” by China Business Law Journal and received the “Outstanding Case in Legal Services for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (2019–2022)” award from the Guangdong Lawyers Association. 4. Represented a foreign chemical tanker owner and P&I Club in an acetone cargo damage dispute (achieved complete victory at first instance, second instance and retrial). The case was named among Guangzhou Maritime Courts selection of “Top 10 Typical Cases of 2021”.
5. Represented a listed private shipping company in a vessel charter dispute with another listed company (Matter value: approximately RMB 4 billion).
6. Representing a leading Chinese insurer in a subrogated claim involving the collapse of an offshore platform (Matter value: approximately RMB 43 million).
7. Represented a leading Chinese insurer in a range of matters involving general average, salvage, and cargo damage disputes arising from a maritime casualty (Total matter value: approximately USD 3.56 million).
8. Assisted a leading global shipping line in handling legal matters concerning the seizure of cargo on suspicion of smuggling in a foreign jurisdiction. (Matter value: approximately RMB 60 million).
9. Advised foreign and Chinese joint salvors in a salvage remuneration claim arising from a maritime casualty (Matter value: approximately USD 7 million).
10. Represented Hong Kong shipowners in a collision and oil pollution cleanup case involving a commercial vessel and a fishing boat within a protected scenic area in Hainan.
11. Represented a Togo-flagged bulk carrier's P&I club in a claim for oil pumping and cleanup costs (Matter value: approximately RMB 34.6 million).
12. Represented a leading Chinese insurer in an oil pollution liability insurance dispute involving parallel proceedings in China and the Marshall Islands. (Matter value: approximately USD 500,000).
13. Represented the owner of a Vietnamese bulk carrier in a claim for salvage remuneration (Matter value: approximately RMB 13 million).
14. Represented a leading Chinese insurer in a suspected insurance fraud case involving vessel self-sinking (Case value: RMB 3.52 million).
15. Representing Hong Kong shipowners and their P&I club in a heat damage claim involving soybean cargo (Matter value: approximately RMB 30 million).
16. Represented the owners and P&I club of a large crude oil carrier in a cargo damage claim: (Matter value: USD 3 million).
17. Represented shipowners in enforcing the assets of a Hong Kong company within mainland China (Matter value: approximately RMB 32.5 million).
18. Represented a foreign shipowner's P&I Club in an oil pumping and cleanup cost dispute (Matter value: approximately RMB 34.6 million).
19. Represented a globally leading liquefied gas supplier (Fortune Global 500) in successfully resolving dozens of contract disputes concerning gas supply and supply system services.
20. Represented a Chinese bank in a range of financial loan contract disputes involving objection to enforcement, appeal, and lawsuit concerning enforcement objection: Including objection and appeal procedures, primary and appellate trials, retrial at the Supreme People’s Court, and enforcement distribution procedures (Matter value: approximately RMB 130 million).
