Three Huang & Huang lawyers are selected into the "Leading International Lawyers" Talent Pool of Guangdong Lawyers Association

By a public notice in September, Guangdong Lawyers Association set out to establish a talent pool of leading international lawyers and a reserve talent pool of international lawyers. The results of the selection have been published recently. Three lawyers from Huang & Huang, namely Huang Yaquan, Huang Hui and Zhang Jing, are among the list of Leading International Lawyers, while Chen Xiaoling and Zhang Fan also from Huang & Huang, have been successfully selected into the reserve talent pool. 
 
  
 
Mr. Huang Yaquan, is a co-founder, director and managing partner of Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm as well as an arbitrator in South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. He has practised law for over 30 years since 1987 and has handled virtually all kinds of maritime and shipping insurance cases. He is well respected in the industry and maintains a solid, long-term relationship with many leading P&I Clubs, marine underwriters and ship-owners in China and abroad.
 
Mr. Huang Hui, a deputy director of the Maritime Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association, a member of the Maritime Committee of All China Lawyers Association, a member of  the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Foreign Affairs Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association and an arbitrator in Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, has practiced in the field of law for nearly 20 years and handled  many major difficult maritime cases, among which the retrial case arising from dispute over salvage contract was named the “2016 Top Ten Cases to Promote the Rule of Law” and one of  the “2016  Ten Typical Cases in Maritime Trial of China”. Moreover, he has dealt with multiple international maritime cases before courts and international arbitration tribunals in New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Panama and consecutively recognized as Leading Lawyer in Shipping in Southern China by Chambers Asia-Pacific.
 
Ms. Zhang Jing is a partner of Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm and a member of the Maritime Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association and the Maritime Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association. She has handled more than 200 maritime cases since starting practice in 2007, including cargo claims, C/P & B/L disputes, subrogation action, maritime personal injury and wrongful death cases, collision and grounding, ship sales and purchases, and ship financing for many leading international and domestic P & I Clubs, insurance companies, shipping lines, NVOCCs, port logistics businesses and other maritime related businesses. She is also the long-term legal advisor serving several large shipping companies and logistics businesses and has been widely recognised.
 
Ms. Chen Xiaoling, a graduate from Shanghai Maritime University in 2014 with a LLM in international law, joined Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm in September 2016 as a professional lawyer mainly handling  marine insurance subrogation claims, marine cargo claims, charter party disputes, ship collisions, other admiralty & transportation-related matters and corporate legal affairs.

Ms. Zhang Fan, a graduate from  Shanghai Maritime University in 2015 with a LLM in international law, joined Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm in September 2017 as a professional lawyer handling predominantly marine cargo claims, subrogation claims (marine cargo insurance and road insurance), ship collisions, charter party disputes, general commercial contract disputes, corporate legal affairs and other litigation and non-litigation affairs.
