At the end of Summer time, we headed to northwestern China - the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau - to explore and enjoy the grand beauty of “the Roof of the World” and one of the cleanest regions on earth, chasing the footsteps of the Autumn. This bright and joyous journey filled our hearts with cheer and passion.

First Stop: Chaka Salt Lake --- “Mirror of Heaven”
On our first day of the journey, we travelled to Chaka Salt Lake - “An attraction must visit in one’s whole life”. When we took a small train along the way paved with salt, felt the moisture air, basked in the warm sunshine, the crystal clear and mirror-like Chaka Salt Lake came into our view.

Second Stop: Qinghai Lake --- “The Last Tear of Tsangyang Gyatso”
Different from the clear Chaka Salt Lake, Qinghai Lake looks deep and silent. The vast beautiful lake is surrounded by fields of gold - canola flowers that stretch as far as eye can see and natural pastures with yaks and sheep flocks.

Third Stop: Zhuo’er Mountain
Climbing to the mountain peak, we overlooked the picturesque landscape covered with golden canola flowers and young pine shoots. To either side of the mountain range, lie little villages and county towns. Zhuo’er Mountain, once a military stronghold in ancient China, now is a tourist scenic spot filled with vitality.

Fourth Stop: Danxia Geopark
The colorful Danxia Geopark in Zhangye of Gansu Province is also known as “the palette that God knocked over when painting”.
