P&I Club claimed for arrears

Appointed by a P&I Club, Mr. Huang Yaquan in our law firm applied to Guangzhou Maritime Court for the arrest of the Vessel A owed by a sea transportation company in Guangzhou (referred to as “A” Company), and lodged a claim against “A” Company for refund of arrears in the amount of USD 111, 510.20 that should be paid to the P&I Club after succeeding in obtained an LOU in the amount of USD 150, 000. Through the careful work and persisting efforts of the lawyer in Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm, and through the mediation from Guangzhou Maritime Court, this case was fully and finally settled down with the result that “A” Company should pay USD 117937.66 (inclusive of costs, interest, fees for arresting the ship and litigation fees) to the P&I Club, and the said indemnity should be paid directly from the cash security as deposited to the court by Hongguang Co. |
