Huang Hui attends China-ASEAN Legal Forum

On 13 November, our senior partner Mr. Huang Hui and leaders of Guangdong Lawyers Association attended the China-ASEAN Legal Forum and the 3rd China-ASEAN Arbitration Cooperation Forum held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The forum was jointly hosted by Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC), Hainan International Arbitration Court (HIAC), China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation (Malaysia) Center (CALCC) and ASEAN Law Association (ALA). The Right Honourable Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat - Chief Justice of Malaysia, Mr. Dato' Ricky Tan - chairman of the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation (Malaysia) Center, the Honourable Justice Dato' Mary Lim Thiam Suan from Malaysian High Court, Professor Shen Sibao and other prominent legal professionals were in attendance and delivered speeches.


Apart from participating in the forum, Mr. Huang Hui and leaders of Guangdong Lawyers Association also paid a visit to CIArb Malaysia, AIAC Malaysia and AIADR, and had a friendly meeting with Mr. DATO' Ricky Tan, Chairman of the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation (Malaysia) Center and Mr. Kenneth Ang, CEO of AIADR to exchange views on each side’s institutional setup, membership, working mechanism, expert selection, training models and other related issues. The two sides also reached preliminary agreement on matters including future exchanges and cooperation, international arbitration and mediation training and mutual visits.
