Collision - Sinking - Loss of Ship

On 19 June 2006, “No.1 of Eastern District” sailing from Xiangzhou Port to Dong Ao Island collided with “New Ferry 85” returning from Macao to Hong Kong and then “No. 1 of Eastern District” sank, causing a loss of about CNY 3 million from the hull damage of “No.1 of Eastern District”. Mr. Huang Yaquan and Mr. Huang Hui handled the case for and on behalf of “No.1 of Eastern District” owner and its insurer, and lodged a claim against “New Ferry 85”. This case was called the biggest on-water traffic accident since the establishment of Zhuhai Special Economic Zone, and it was  reported by “Oriental Space” of CCTV, GDTV, Hong Kong ATV, Hong Kong TVB and lots of other newspapers. This case was amicably settled through negotiation.
