In August 2003, The First Construction Division Co., Ltd of China Railway Tunnel Group TMB Branch (hereinafter referred to as China Railway Tunnel Group) entrusted Hongfeng Transportation Co., Ltd to transport a tunnel shield, which was damaged during the winching and discharging process, causing severe economic loss suffered by China Railway Tunnel Group. After indemnifying China Railway Tunnel Group under contract, PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited Guangdong Branch appointed Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm to lodge litigation over insurance subrogation against Hongfeng Transportation Co., Ltd. Through the efforts of lawyers Huang Yaquan and Huang Hui, all the litigation requests of PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited Guangdong Branch were supported by the People’s Court in Shenzhen Nanshan District. In dissatisfaction with the judgment rendered by the court of 1st instance, Hongfeng Transportation Co., Ltd then appealed to the court. Through efforts of Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm, Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court rejected the opponent’s appeal in the final judgment and maintained the original judgment. Finally, PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited Guangdong Branch successfully recovered the insurance indemnity from Hongfeng Transportation Co., Ltd. |
