Our managing partner Huang Hui selected as arbitrator for both CIETAC and CMAA

Huang & Huang Co. Law Firm is pleased to announce that our managing partner Mr. Huang Hui has been selected as an arbitrator for both China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), who have recently published their respective new Panel of Arbitrators, both for a term of five years starting from 1 May 2021.
 
CIETAC’s new Penal of Arbitrators consists of 1,698 arbitrators, including 483 from 85 overseas countries and regions.
 
CMAC’s new Penal of Arbitrators is comprised of 826 arbitrators, including 122 from 36 overseas countries and regions.  

China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC)
 
CIETAC is the oldest and most influential commercial arbitration institution in China and one of the major permanent arbitration institutions in the world. Since its establishment in 1956, CIETAC has administered nearly 30,000 cases involving parties from over 100 countries and regions, and its awards have been recognized and enforced in 159 countries and regions.

China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC)
 
Established in 1959 within the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China Chamber of International Commerce) with the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, CMAC is the only permanent arbitration institution in China that is featured by admiralty, maritime, logistics-related disputes resolution.

With nearly 20 years of full-time practice dedicated to maritime, shipping and foreign related disputes, Mr. Huang Hui has handled a large number of influential, typical court cases and arbitration cases, including those selected into “Top 10 Landmark Court Cases of 2016”, “Top 10 Typical Maritime Cases of 2016” and “Ten Typical Cases of Mutual Enforcement of Arbitral Awards between the Mainland and the HKSAR”.
 
Mr. Huang Hui has been consecutively recommended as a “Leading Lawyer in Shipping” by Chambers Asia-Pacific Guide ever since 2011.
 
He is one of “Top 10 Guangzhou International Lawyer” and “Top 1000 International Lawyer Recommended by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC”, and an appointed expert advisor for The Supreme People’s Procuratorate in civil and administrative cases.
 
In addition, he is director of the Maritime and Aviation Law Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association, standing director of the Maritime Law Research Institute of Guangdong Law Society, standing director of Guangzhou International Maritime Judicial Studies Institute, council member and mediator at Guangzhou International Commercial Mediation Center, council member of the Legal Business Environment Research Institute of Guangzhou Lawyers Association.
 
Apart from being an arbitrator at CIETAC and CMAC, Mr. Huang also serves as an arbitrator at Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, Hainan International Arbitration Institute and other arbitration institutions, having handled a great number of arbitration cases and accumulated extensive experience.
