Huang Hui admitted to SCIA’s Roster of Arbitrators

Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) announced its new Roster of Arbitrators on 19 February. Our managing partner Huang Hui was admitted for a term of three years commencing 21 February 2022.

Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (“SCIA”, also known as South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Arbitration Center, and Shenzhen Arbitration Commission), was established in 1983 and was the first arbitration institution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region after China’s reform and opening up. In 1989, SCIA became the first arbitration institution of China whose arbitral award was enforced overseas in accordance with the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards. Arbitration and mediation services provided by SCIA have been extended to 119 countries and regions worldwide.

Apart from Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Huang Hui has also been admitted to China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, China Maritime Arbitration Commission, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, Hainan International Arbitration Court, Qingdao Arbitration Commission, Dalian International Arbitration Court.
 
Huang Hui has close to 20 years of experience in practising maritime and shipping law. He was lead counsel in many influential court and arbitration cases, including maritime cases that were selected into Top 10 Landmark Cases of the Year, Top 10 Typical Maritime Cases of the Year, and Ten Typical Cases of Mutual Enforcement of Arbitral Awards between Mainland China and the HKSAR.
 
Huang Hui is among Top 10 Guangzhou Foreign-related Lawyers, Top 1000 National Foreign-related Lawyers listed by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC, and is Expert Advisor for The Supreme People’s Procuratorate. He has been consecutively recommended as “Leading Lawyer in Shipping” by Chambers and Partners since 2011.
